Rate card
The provider's published prices by role and seniority.
Definition
A table of standard prices per role and level, used as the starting point for any quote. Most providers hold one, discount from it by volume or commitment length, and revise it annually.
Why it matters
Ask for the whole card, not just the roles you are buying today. It tells you what expanding will cost and whether the provider prices seniority in a way you agree with. Buying a single role at a negotiated price and then discovering the second role is priced at list is a common and avoidable surprise.
