Hire Engineers

LebSource gives you pre-vetted Lebanese engineers who work your hours, join your repository and your stand-up, and cost a fraction of the equivalent local hire.

01

Why outsource engineering at all

Most engineering teams do not have a talent problem so much as a throughput problem: the roadmap is longer than the team, and every local hire takes months to source, interview, and onboard. Outsourcing the well-defined parts of that roadmap, a service, a migration, a mobile build, the test suite nobody has time for, buys back capacity without committing to permanent local headcount. The catch is that it only works when the engineers you add can actually be managed like the rest of your team.

The comparison

Outsourcing engineering vs hiring in-house vs far-shore

The three realistic ways to add engineering capacity, compared on the things that decide whether it works.

Working-hours overlap

Yes.

In-house in Europe

Full overlap. Everyone is in the same working day

No.

Far-shore outsourcing

A few hours at best; most questions wait until tomorrow

Yes.

LebSource

Beirut runs on EET/EEST, so the working day lines up with Europe

Cost per hire

No.

In-house in Europe

Full local salary, benefits, payroll tax, and recruiter fees

Partly.

Far-shore outsourcing

Lowest headline rate, but rework and management time eat the saving

Yes.

LebSource

Up to 43% below the equivalent European hire, with no recruiter fee

Time to first commit

No.

In-house in Europe

Two to four months of sourcing, interviewing, and notice periods

Partly.

Far-shore outsourcing

Fast to staff, slower to ship while context is rebuilt by ticket

Yes.

LebSource

Pre-vetted shortlists in days, onboarded into your repo like any other hire

Code review and pairing

Yes.

In-house in Europe

Live, in the same working day

No.

Far-shore outsourcing

Asynchronous. A review round can cost a full day

Yes.

LebSource

Live, in the same working day

Ownership of the work

Yes.

In-house in Europe

The team owns the codebase end to end

No.

Far-shore outsourcing

Scoped deliverables handed back; context leaves with the contract

Yes.

LebSource

Engineers work inside your codebase, tools, and review process

Scaling down

No.

In-house in Europe

Slow and expensive; redundancy processes apply

Partly.

Far-shore outsourcing

Contractual, but usually in fixed project blocks

Yes.

LebSource

Flexible engagements that scale with the roadmap

Yes.Structurally true of this modelPartly.Possible, but slower or less completeNo.Not how this model works

“Far-shore” here means a delivery team six or more hours from your working day. That is a statement about time zones, not about anyone’s ability, plenty of excellent teams work that way, and for well-scoped, low-iteration work it can be the right call.

02

Why Lebanon for engineering

Lebanon sits in the EET/EEST time zone, which means Beirut keeps the same working day as most of Europe and shifts with the same daylight-saving changes. Engineers are educated in English and very often French as well, and the local industry is built around remote work for European and Gulf clients, so code review, pairing, and stand-up all happen live rather than by overnight handoff. For engineering specifically, that live overlap is what separates a team member from a vendor.

Time zone coverage

How much of your working day a Lebanon team actually shares

Not a claim, arithmetic. Pick your city, then pick a far-shore alternative and watch the number fall.

Where is your team?

8h

of your working day shared with Beirut, every day, from Berlin.

09:0017:00 your time

Based on a 09:00–18:00 working day at both ends and standard winter offsets, the conservative case, since summer time widens the European overlap rather than narrowing it. Overlap is the plain intersection of the two working days.

Before you start

What to get right when you outsource engineering

01

Review latency is the real cost

The headline rate is not what makes offshore engineering expensive, waiting a day for a review, a clarification, or a deploy approval is. Overlapping working hours remove that tax entirely, which is why the time-zone question matters more for engineering than for almost any other discipline.

02

Hire into your process, not around it

Engineers who sit outside your repository, tracker, and review standards produce work you then have to absorb. Every LebSource engineer joins your GitHub, your Slack, and your definition of done, so their output is reviewed the same way as everyone else's.

03

Seniority is not a rate card

A cheaper engineer who needs their architecture decisions re-made is not cheaper. We vet for judgement and communication alongside technical skill, and we will tell you when a role needs a senior rather than a second mid-level.

How it works

Hiring engineering, step by step

Step 01

Tell us the role

A call or a written brief: what the person will own, what your stack is, and how senior you actually need. If the seniority looks wrong for the work, we will say so then rather than after you have paid for it.

Step 02

Get a shortlist in days

A shortlist, not a database dump. Everyone on it has been screened for hands-on skill and for how they communicate in English before it reaches you, which is why this takes days rather than months.

Step 03

Interview, and trial if you want

You interview them the way you interview anyone else. Most teams run a short paid trial on real work before committing, and we would rather you did: it tells you both far more than another interview round.

Step 04

They join your team

Your repository, your tracker, your stand-up, your definition of done. We handle the contract, payroll, and the administration around it. You manage the work, the same as you would for anyone else on the team.

Role finder

Not sure which role you need? Answer three questions.

Most people arrive knowing the problem, not the job title. Describe the problem and we will name the roles that fix it.

FAQ

Hiring engineering with LebSource

Can LebSource engineers work directly in our codebase?

Yes. They join your GitHub or GitLab, your issue tracker, and your Slack, and follow your branching and review conventions. They are managed like the rest of your engineering team rather than handed scoped deliverables.

How does the time-zone overlap actually work?

Beirut runs on EET/EEST, which shifts with the same daylight-saving changes as Europe. In practice that means a shared working day with most European teams, so stand-ups, reviews, and pairing happen live instead of by overnight handoff.

What if we need a specific stack we do not see listed?

The roles listed on this page are the ones we staff most often, not the limit of the network. Tell us the stack and the seniority you need and we will come back on whether we can shortlist for it.

Do we manage the engineers or does LebSource?

You do, day to day. They sit in your team and take direction from your leads. LebSource handles the sourcing, vetting, contracting, and the administrative side of the engagement.
