Engagement models
Managed delivery
The provider owns the outcome, not just the people.
Definition
An engagement where the provider is responsible for delivering a defined result, a product, a migration, an automation, including staffing, sequencing, and quality. You approve the outcome rather than directing the day-to-day work.
Why it matters
Managed delivery only works when the outcome can be described well enough to be accepted or rejected. Where requirements will genuinely move week to week, a fixed managed scope turns every discovery into a change request, and staff augmentation is usually cheaper and less adversarial.
